Who it's for
Year-end support for UK limited companies
Every UK limited company must prepare annual accounts and file them with Companies House, and file a Corporation Tax return with HMRC, even if the company made little or no profit. The two are closely linked, so we prepare them together.
We work with:
- Owner-managed limited companies and their directors
- Contractors and consultants trading through their own company
- Small and growing companies with employees
- New companies approaching their first year end
We work entirely online. You share your bookkeeping and bank records digitally, we prepare the accounts and tax return, and you approve both before anything is filed.

Deadlines and records
Year-end deadlines and what we need from you
A private limited company normally has nine months after the end of its financial year to file annual accounts with Companies House. Corporation Tax for most small and medium companies is due nine months and one day after the end of the accounting period, and the CT600 return is due twelve months after it.
Corporation Tax is charged at 19% on profits up to £50,000 and 25% on profits over £250,000, with marginal relief in between. Missing a deadline can lead to automatic penalties, so we plan your year end well ahead.
To prepare your accounts we will usually need:
- Access to your bookkeeping or accounting software
- Business bank statements for the full year
- Details of assets bought or sold, loans and director's loan account movements
- Any invoices owed to you, or bills you owed, at the year end
