Who it's for
VAT support that fits how you trade
Most VAT-registered businesses file a VAT return every three months. Each one has to be accurate, submitted through Making Tax Digital compatible software and paid on time, every quarter, year after year. We take that routine off your hands.
We work with:
- Limited companies that are VAT registered
- Sole traders and partnerships approaching or above the VAT threshold
- Businesses registering for VAT for the first time
- Businesses that want a second pair of eyes on returns they currently file themselves
Because we work entirely online, it doesn't matter where in the UK you are. You share your records digitally, we do the work, and you approve every return before it is submitted.

Deadlines and records
VAT deadlines and what we need from you
You must register for VAT if your VAT-taxable turnover goes over £90,000 in any rolling twelve-month period, or if you expect it to go over that figure in the next thirty days. You can also register voluntarily below the threshold.
A quarterly VAT return is normally due one calendar month and seven days after the end of the VAT period, and payment is due on the same date. HMRC uses a points-based system for late returns and charges interest on late payments, so a reliable routine matters.
Each quarter we will usually need:
- Access to your accounting software, or your sales and purchase records
- Your business bank statements for the period
- Receipts or invoices for larger purchases
- Details of anything unusual, such as imports, exports or asset purchases
VAT return questions
Yes. We review your recent returns and VAT setup during onboarding, then take over from your next quarter so nothing is missed.
Yes. All VAT-registered businesses must keep digital records and file through compatible software. We can recommend options and help you set them up.
Yes. Registering voluntarily can let you reclaim VAT on your costs and may suit businesses that mainly sell to other VAT-registered businesses. We will talk through whether it makes sense for you.
HMRC gives penalty points for late returns, leading to a financial penalty once you reach the threshold, and charges interest on late payments. We file on time to help you avoid both.
It depends on your turnover, your costs and how you invoice. We compare the Standard, Flat Rate and Cash Accounting schemes for your business before recommending one.
Every business is different, so we quote after a free consultation. The price depends on things like your number of transactions, your VAT scheme and the state of your records.
